Where did char grow up?Dothos province in Angra-Chellio where he cared for an ailing uncle who was a political prisoner of King Nathan Garrsis Khal's parents sent him to do it since it was cheaper than paying a servant
What if char had grown up somewhere else?he might not be loyal to the house of Garrsis
What if he didn't like his home? he didn't like either of them actually though he did like it when he was invited to study at court with the king's son and nephews.
What if char wasn't born there? He'd be thrilled to learn his past isn't really his past, but unforunately it really is his. It'smade him a beter person though. (really)

What if char met his hero?he did he tries to live by the examples he feels they've set
What if char met his nemesis in a neutral public place?he'd play it cool and do nothing until challenged, he's a man of discipline and restraint you see
What if char had a family, kids, etc.?he'd take fewer risks and might even consider retirement so he had time to spend with them it's somethig he secretly dreams about but right now he sees family as unattainable for himself.
What if his kids were part of char's problem?He'd be way too over protective and I suspect he'd inavertantly raise some stuck up spoiled brats. No doubt thatcould lead to problems of one sort or another. I'm sure nothing would be their fault, you've seen those sort of parents haven't you?

What secrets does char have?he isn't really a native of Angra-Chellio also he's never closed the deal with a woman. He's not sure he can, at first he simply wouldn't because he was saving himself for marriage. Now he rather lacks confidence that any one would want him. Such a state of affairs is rather at odds with the rest of his image.
What if his nemesis knew his secret? He's have a lot of explaining to do I'm sure his nemisis would reveal what he knew, and the whole 37 year old virgin thing would likely be embarrasing for a man of Khal's station.
What if a love interest knew? If she really loved him she wouldn't really care though I suspect there would be some initial suspicion over his really being from Lenonier,since it's Angra-Chellio's chief rival.
What will Khal do to protect his secrets? He's very closed mouthed, straight laced, rigid and secretive all the time. He certainly wouldn't divulge them to anyone who didn't already know.

What if Khal wasn't who he thinks he is? He'd ignore it and maintain his current identity since he's happy with it.
What if he learned about himself? again he'd ignore it unless he needed to make use of his ability for some sort of rescue or something. though he'dbe tickled to learn he was adopted or something he's never felt kinship with his own family.
